Global Center

本校にはグローバルセンターという場所があります。外国人講師と昼休みや放課後に自由に交流することができます。昼休みには一緒に昼食をとるために、沢山の生徒が利用しています。特進留学コースKGGSや中学修学旅行でお馴染みのNZや高校修学旅行、語学研修先のオーストラリアに関する資料や洋書がそろっております。留学、修学旅行、語学研修準備期間の会話練習や英検、TOEIC受験対策などに、毎日数多くの生徒がグローバルセンターを利用しています。

The Global Center is a place where students and teachers come together and enjoy free conversation in English. Both Junior High and High School students can come and speak with native English speakers in a comfortable environment that promotes the English language. The Global Center also displays information about NZ and Australia, and information about past and present Study Abroad students.

I have been in Japan since August 2004 – I arrived in my birthday! I am very inspired by Japanese cultural forms – Washi paper, calligraphy, Butoh dance and Noh/Kabuki theatre. I also work as a freelance writer and am co-ordinating exhibitions between Japan and England. I think Art can be really fun and am enjoying teaching here.

I first came to Japan in 1997. Since then I have spent about six years teaching in Japan. I have also taught in New Zealand. In 2005 I completed masters degree in Second language teaching at the Univercity of Auckland, New Zealand. Going to New Zealand is a wonderful opportunity for Kosei students. I enjoy helping their prepare, and seeing English improve during the time they spend here.

HELLO- my name is Stefan Van Eycken. I grew up in Belgium and Scotland, but have lived in Japan for almost 10 years. What I really love about Japan is the divercity of its music scene. I studied music and am active as a composer. I love hunting for records at used-record stores around the country. My taste in music? Italian film music of the 60s and 70s, and free jazz. I am also an avid collector of Japanese whiskies, and spand a lot of time watching Japanese movies(of the 30s, in particular).
